Exploring the Meat Market in Cuzco

Today was a pretty chill day.  I ate breakfast with the family, four hours of Spanish class (we visited a market to practice asking questions), and then back home for lunch with the family.   After, I met some of my classmates and we went walking in the city.  We stopped for coffee and visited a market that is about 90 years old called San Pedro market.

Why yes, that is part of the cow.

I’m pretty sure he was smiling…They prep the pig right there in front of you.  Starts out whole…ends in pieces.

There were protests in the streets as well as many festivals.  That made transportation by bus today somewhat tricky due to random streets being closed.  I ended the day by sitting in the main plaza, Plaza de Armas, for a little while before catching the bus home for dinner and some studying.
