A “See You Soon” Kind of Goodbye to Ireland

by Maddy Crowell, Greenheart Travel High School Exchange Student in Ireland

This is my last night in Ireland for a while. Saying goodbye to everyone was much harder than expected. I have done nothing but cry today and I would give anything to stay longer. I could not have asked for a more amazing country, county, community, school, friends, and most of all host family during my high school exchange program. Everyone I have met has changed my life more than they could ever know and deserve the biggest thank you I could possibly give! I will miss everyone with the biggest aching in my heart. I wish there were words to describe how grateful I am to be a part of such an extraordinary experience, and I would not have changed one second of it!

To my new family here this will not be last you hear from me, I swear you will get sick of all of the emails and Skype calls. I love you all and can not thank you enough for every single little and MASSIVE thing you have done for me.

I love you Ireland and this is a see you soon kind of goodbye!!!
