When It Rains…We Eat!

by Ashley Lordon, Greenheart Travel Language Exchange Participant in Spain

What is there to do when it decides to rain everyday for a week?…EAT!

This past week was not usual for Granada as it rained basically every day. The rain wasn’t terrible as the drops were pretty small – but in a city that was made to be enjoyed outdoors, rain can be a small inconvenience.

In light of this “small inconvenience,” I decided to stick to the indoors and try many different types of food! I had paella, pizza, chocolate con churros, tapas….Needless to say I will be spending this rain-free week walking off last week’s adventures🙂

I also spent both weekends in Motril with Ivonne, the BEST coordinator ever. She opened up her home to me and we had an amazing time! Even though we were frozen on the coast of Granada – it’s GRANADA! So there was no other option but to enjoy ourselves.

Just another reason I love this town – rain or no rain, there’s always a rainbow to enjoy.
