High School - Ireland, High School Abroad

Enjoying Every Minute in Ireland

by Kylie Tejera, CCI Greenheart Travel High School Student in Ireland

Work experience starts in a few months, but we’re already sorting out where we will be working. For those of you who don’t know, work experience is done in your Transition Year and allows students two weeks off from classes. Students are to be working at a place of their choice for that two weeks to sort of find out what they’d like to do as a summer job or after they’ve finished school. I think I am going to be an activities coordinator at the local nursing home. I have a weak spot for the elderly, so this will be a great experience for me! Other than Mayo losing and finding out what I want to do for work experience, everything has been the same. I just feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity to study abroad in Ireland, and I intend on enjoying it up to the last minute!
