Cultural Exchange Outside of the Georgian Classroom and Inside “The Cave”

Photos and story by Kenneth Monette, Greenheart Travel Teach Abroad Participant in Georgia

There is a really good restaurant I discovered in Borjomi, Georgia. I call it the cave since I don’t know it’s name and it is underground, so hence I dubbed it “The Cave.”

Last month I translated their Georgian restaurant menu into English so they would attract more customers and they now proudly display their English and Georgian menu.

In these photos Nino draws a very good Nataktari ludi (beer) for me.

And I enjoy some fresh fried soko (mushrooms), a lot of English teacher volunteers now visit this place to enjoy a delicious meal…..anything to help the local economy!
