Snow Before Spring in Georgia

Photo essay by Kenneth Monette, Greenheart Travel Teach Abroad Participant in Georgia

It was a blustery and snowy February and March around the globe. Our Greenheart Travel participant, Kenneth, shares a few photos of one of the blizzards to hit Surami during his teach program in Georgia.

The people of Surami try to clear the couple feet of heavy snow from their rooftops.

The challenge of clearing the drifts begins around the village.

The walk to school is a winter wonderland at Surami School where Kenneth teaches English.

The Georgian students in Surami aren’t letting the snow get them down.

The walk to and from school is even more of a challenge with the piles of snow and barely cleared roads.
