Chicago’s winter temperatures and slushy streets didn’t hinder the enthusiasm at the Idealist.org Global Volunteer Fair, Feb. 22. Greenheart Travel was one of 14 organizations represented at the fair, offering information and inspiration to aspiring travelers and volunteers.
Workshops on topics like “International Volunteerism 101” and “The Cost of Doing Good: Affordable Options for Volunteering Abroad” were featured to give attendees more insight into the volunteer experience, and Greenheart Travel’s program coordinator, Lauren Bauer, sat in on the panel.
Students and young professionals browsed the tables in Roosevelt University’s Auditorium Building, and there was a great amount of interest in the India volunteer programs, which excited the Greenheart Travel team. We were also thrilled to be sharing information with so many fellow Chicagoans!
